Golden Israeli Phone Token Necklace - Vintage Coin Pendant

Up until the late '80s, in Israel, the Israeli metal token was the only way to make a phone call from a public payphone.
I was born in the early '80s and the metal token reminds me of my childhood.
I like creating jewelry that has meaning to it, so I decided to combine a necklace with authentic silver Israeli mail metal tokens which can only be found now with collectors.
I plated the token with 24 karat gold and put the charm on a gold-filled chain. Gold-filled offers all the physical attributes to gold such as beauty, luxury, quality, strength and durability over time.
So simple item, yet adds a fresh vintage look.
